baby kittens
A few weeks ago I noticed some kittens by the dumpster at the donut shop. Me being the kind tenderhearted person that I am decided to rescue these kittens and then find them good homes. However, this has been more of a challenge than I expected. The kittens were living in the woods and not used to human contact. So the first thing was to catch them. We finally caught all four of them and now they are in my garage, however being only approx. 10 months old they can hide in the smallest spaces. We are trying to let them know that we are there to take care of them, but the kittens of course don't understand this. They hiss and scratch. We can't find homes for them until they are tame. It is proving more difficult than I thought.

new office
After at least one year of waiting for a new office it finally happaned! We moved to the library!! Unfortunately I have to deal with 4 filing cabinets in my office, however I have wall space and the best part is...windows!! We were stuck in the caves in the basement and had no idea what the weather was. I love how my wall turned out.
I used old calendar pictures to make a collage. I also have a map with stars showing what countries are represented. We also have a lounge with a flat screen tv, which is beyond amazing!
This weekend I am going to my first Kappa Phi National Board Meeting~ I can't wait!!

Kappa Phi Council
I just returned from Dallas for Kappa Phi National Council of chapters. We meet every two years for business, election of officers, fellowship, etc. I have been in KP for 10 years and this was the second council that I attended. It is very interesting to see women that have been in Kappa Phi longer than I have been alive running around acting like they are 20-somethings! Two of the sponsors hosted a fun night in their room and we fit 31 people in there. It was really fun. the biggest news is that I somehow got picked to run for national treasurer. I really didn't want this, but after much incouragement I did it. I am a little unsure about it, but hey, with God all things are possible!! Now I really have to get motivated to finish my thesis before I get busy with KP stuff.

anniversary weekend & such
For graduation my family came up to see me and it was great. Then Bryan and I left for Branson to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed in a b&b and had a great time! I bought a really pretty vera bradley bag for a graduation gift! It was also great to have a vacation. Bryan was off all week so he came with me to BA and rode around the bike trail. Then we saw Angels & Demons. We liked it, but not as much as we liked the book.
The saturday after we got back I left for a conference in LA. It was great to see Joy! I even learned a lot to help me in my job. The NBA playoffs were going on and I really wanted to go to a game but unfortunately had no money. I stayed in hollywood and read three books during the 30 min commute each way. I also tried mediterranean food one night. Now its back to work and time to finish the thesis, which unfortunately have no motivation for whatsoever.

graduation & such
So I haven't posted in a while, but I have been working hard. NSU finally came through like they have been saying they were going to do since like October. I am excited to finally be full time now, but wish it was in a different place. I am going to graduate this semester, but my thesis is not quite done so I still have to finish that and I am trting to write one more paper for my last class, but it is so hard.
Bryan and I are getting ready to celebrate our one year anniversary on the 17th. I can't believe its been one year~crazy!
